The second the nail clippers come out, my dog disappears 😂 I wanted nail care to feel less stressful for both of us. With a few treats and this scratch board, we’re turning it into a little game. He gets excited when I bring it out now!

Turn the nail-care struggle into a small, rewarding game

🐾 Less fuss. More treats. Nail care at their pace.

Set the board down in a familiar place and reward your dog for simply looking at it. There is no need to rush the first session.

Build from a nose touch to a paw touch, then reward the first gentle scratch. Short, easy wins can make the routine feel predictable.

Help them discover the scratching action

🐕 🐩 Different pups. Small steps. Plenty of rewards.

Keep the board steady and guide attention across its surface with a treat. Reward one successful front-paw movement at a time.

Pause while your dog is still engaged. Learning speed varies, so repeat the easiest successful step before making it harder.

A routine built around careful observation

🐾 A few scratches. A quick check. A well-earned treat.

Look at the nails between attempts and stop early. The board is intended mainly for front nails, where the scratching motion naturally makes contact.

Rear nails and dewclaws may need separate care. Ask a qualified trainer or veterinary professional when you are unsure.

I've had this for about a week now and so far I'm really happy with it. My dog absolutely hates having his paws touched, so doing his nails has always been a struggle. Normally I can only get through a couple of nails before he gets uncomfortable and I have to stop.

With this, he actually seems to enjoy it. He gets excited when I bring it out and acts like it's a game, which honestly surprised me. It definitely helps file his nails down and makes the whole process way less stressful for both of us. We're still getting used to doing more than a few swipes at a time, but I'm really impressed so far. Definitely 5 stars from me.

I love that this lets my dog do the work herself instead of me having to hold her still and trim her nails. It makes the whole experience feel way less stressful.

She's a rescue, so trust is a big thing for us, and I feel like this is actually helping. She figured it out really quickly and already seems to enjoy using it. Such a simple idea, but it makes nail care so much easier for both of us.

Our puppies learned how to use this super fast and now they actually get excited when we bring it out. A few scratches, a little treat, and their front nails are smoother without the stress of clippers or filing.

They hate having their nails buffed by hand, but they love doing this themselves. The hidden treat compartment is a great touch and really helps keep them interested. Definitely a win for us!

Really impressed with the quality of this. It feels sturdy and well made, and the hidden treat drawer is such a smart way to keep your dog interested. Simple idea, but it works really well!

My dog has really taken to this! She's a medium-sized pointer mix, and using treats made the learning process much easier. It did take her a little time to understand what she was supposed to do, so don't be discouraged if your dog doesn't get it right away.

Once she figured it out, it worked really well for filing down her nails without the stress of regular trimming. At first she tried chewing on the board a bit, which caused a little wear, but nothing major. For the price, I'm still very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.
